Greer Griffith, director of programs for Angel On A Leash, was recently honored by the United Hospital Fund for her volunteer work at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian. Greer was MSCHONY's representative at the United Hospital Fund's 16th Annual Hospital Auxilian and Volunteer Achievement Awards ceremony, held Friday, March 6, at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.
Attending the ceremony to celebrate with Greer were MSCHONY's Vice President of Operations Bernadette O'Brien, Director of Child Life Toni Millar (also an Angel board member), and Director of Volunteer Services Evelyn Ramos; Angel volunteers Brenda Johnson and Gay Cropper; Angel board member Richard Dienst, Angel President David Frei and Director of Operations Kathy Madden.
Ninety volunteers from hospitals throughout the five boroughs of New York City were honored. Honorees were chosen from among New York City's more than 50,000 health care volunteers.
United Hospital Fund (www.uhfnyc.org) is a health services research and philanthropic organization whose mission is to shape positive change in health care for the people of New York.
