By the end of 2008, ANGEL teams were visiting in nine prestigious health care facilities:
- Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian
- Ronald McDonald House of New York City
- Providence Health Care Center (Portland, OR)
- New Alternatives for Children (New York City)
- New Milford (CT) Hospital
- St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (Memphis, TN)
- Hackensack (NJ) University Medical Center
- Memorial Sloan Kettering Carter Center (New York City)
- Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (Milwaukee)
At both Memorial Sloan Kettering and The Ronald McDonald House, ANGEL teams were the first animal assisted therapy teams allowed in those facilities.
In addition, ANGEL has agreements with two other therapy dog organizations; Mid South Therapy Dogs of Memphis (MSTD) and Intermountain Therapy Arirrials ef Salt Lake City (ITA). MSTD is a Delta Society affiliate that sends teams to approximately 40 facilities in the Greater Memphis area. ITA has developed a successful and widely-implemented animal-assisted therapy program called Reading Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) and this agreement grants ANGEL the right to implement R.E.A.D. programs.
Since 2005, Angel On A Leash has been included in the telecast of the annual Westminster Kennel Club dog show held in February at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Television pieces about the work of the ANGEL teams at MSCHONY and at the Ronald McDonald House, coverage of live ANGEL presentations on the floor, and anecdotal mentions of ANGEL teams during the telecasts have generated numerous e-mails and telephone calls from people interested in training to become an ANGEL team and from people representing facilities interested in partnering with ANGEL. In addition, a number of ANGEL activities have taken place in New York City around the Westminster Kennel Club dog show over the years. Annual fundraisers have been held at the W Hotel and at Doyle New York Gallery and plans are in place for additional events in the future.
ANGEL's association with Westminster, America's Dog Show, affords us unique access and exposure. Media opportunities arise from that exposure, including a feature on NBC's Today Show in June 2007. The 2008 Best in Show winner, a Beagle named Uno, toured the United States as an ambassador for Angel On A Leash. Uno made countless network and local television appearances in various cities. Among the highlights of his busy schedule; he met President and Mrs. Bush at the White House, visited Texas Governor Rick Perry in his office, visited the family of Peanuts creator Charles Schulz in Santa Rosa, California, and threw out the first pitch at major league baseball games in Milwaukee and St. Louis. As an ambassador for ANGEL, he visited families at the Ronald McDonald Houses in both of those cities, and helped host pediatric patients and their families from Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in suite at the Brewers game. Uno has also lifted the spirits of military heroes at the Walter Reed Amputee Patient Care Clinic.
